Below are some of the images and accompanying captions that I’ve  posted on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, the most recent ones first.

Captions are important to me.  They complement and in many cases amplify what is in the image.  They can take a viewer further into the picture, doing so by connecting with worlds they open up. 

Those worlds can include historic or geographic or literary elements; a few of which a viewer might not “get,” at least not on first glance or reading.  But they’re there, and sometimes those elements are humorous, or even just plain corny and fun. 

But in all cases they expand the image to which they “belong.”
